Honeydew Melon

HONEYDEW
(Cucumis melo L.)

Honeydew melon is a variety of Muskmelon variety falling under the Honeydew cultivator group, Cucumis melo inodorus and is considered the sweetest of all melons. It is a good source of vitamin C, potassium, and B vitamins such as thiamine and niacin. Honeydew melons have a smooth, white to greenish-white rind and have either a green or white flesh. Containing about 90% water, honeydew melon will help keep you hydrated.

Honeydew has proven itself to be very good for the health having high levels of Vitamin C, fiber, and many other nutrients. It may help strengthen the bones and prevent the development of osteoporosis, because honeydew contains key nutrients that are essential for bone health, including folate and Vitamin K.
